Cillian Murphy attends Dublin premiere of "Free Fire"
Cillian Murphy, (our Tommy) attended the Irish premiere of Free Fire, the Ben Wheatley directed film in which Cillian plays a major role. Ben Wheatley, Jack Raynor and Laurie Rose (the cinematographer for Peaky Blinders as well as Free Fire) were also in attendance.
The premiere took place at Ireland's largest screen, Screen 1 at the Savoy Cinema on O'Connell St and was followed by a lively and amusing Question and Answer session. The audience were rewarded/bribed into asking questions by each questioner getting an exclusive Q and A T-Shirt and set of badges - see mine in the gallery. The film was showing as part of the Dublin International Film Festival which is sponsored by Audi and the guests arrived in lovely chauffeur driven Audi cars. [There's some lovely footage of the cars and stars in this Audi video - even spotted myself!]. Cillian and the other stars signed and posed for photos for both fans and media alike before we watched the film, which is hilarious: full of cool one-liners and action packed. If you ever wanted to see Cillian with a ginger 70s moustache now is your chance!
The ticket price included not only the screening and Q and A session but also admission to the After-Show Party at the lovely Lemon and Duke, probably the best bargain of the year and Cillian and the others joined us in enjoying the free bar.
