What to do until Peaky Blinders Season 4?
The other most frequent post on my Peaky Blinders Twitter account goes something like this: "What am I going to do with my life now that I've finished Peaky Blinders?" If I had a pound for every time I read that I'd have a walk-in safe like Tommy! My advice? Check out other filming projects that the talented cast are involved in - there are some gems on TV and screen or coming soon.
Cillian Murphy (Tommy)
Cillian has already appeared in Anthropoid, a film set in World War 2 Prague, where, with fellow Irish actor Jamie Dornan, he plots to assassinate Nazi Leader Reinhard Heyrdrich. Great acting, very moving true story already out on DVD and streaming sites. See the official trailer here.
He also stars in director Ben Wheatley's film Free Fire which is to be released in the UK on March 31st and the US on April 21st although it was previewed at the London Film Festival last year. In February it is also being previewed in several UK and Irish cities complete with Q and A with Ben Wheatley and in Dublin, Mr Murphy himself. See here for dates. The shoot-out film is surprisingly humorous not least Cillian's 70s porn star moustache!
Cillian, along with fellow Peaky Blinders actor Tom Hardy is also to appear in what promises to be one of the summer's big blockbusters Dunkirk directed by Christopher Nolan which also stars Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance and er, Harry Styles.About the WW2 evacuation of British troops from Dunkirk in France. Out in the UK and US on July 21st 2017.
The Party is a Sally Potter directed film which as well as starring Cillian, also stars Timothy Spall and Kristin Scott Thomas. Described thus "THE PARTY is a comedy wrapped around a tragedy. It starts as a celebration and ends with blood on the floor." It premiered on 13th February 2017 at the Berlin International Film Festival. General release date in UK October 13th 2017.

Also in the pipeline for Cillian is Delinquent Season, an Irish drama about 2 couples who seemingly solid marriages come under strain. The director Mark O'Rowe has previously collaborated with Cillian on Intermission, Broken and Perrier's Bounty. Filmed in and around Dublin it also stars Sherlock star Andrew Scott and its release date is unknown.
Paul Anderson (Arthur)
