The Half-Day Tour (4 hrs)
On this tour of Liverpool we will see at least 15 sites where the show was filmed, both in Liverpool and across the River Mersey in the Wirral Peninsular. From the place where the Shelbys grew up and still have their bookies' operation to the site of Garrison Lane and the Garrison pub to Ada and Polly's houses as well as the site of Father Hughes' picnic where Tommy lay in wait to assassinate him and the site where John Shelby set off a bomb at the house of Field Marshall Henry Russell - these are just some of the sites we shall see, with the others revealed on the day.
Also, an opportunity to see the ground-breaking Victorian village of Port Sunlight, built by philanthropist William Lever to house the workers who manufactured his Sunlight Soap at a time when most workers lived in unsanitary slums.
